FEM modeling and design of the EXO Building Mega-truss nodes using the SOFiSTiK software and FEM modeling of the global geometry of the main structure using the Straus 7 software for construction stages analysis.
Description
The EXO Building is a multifunctional center site in Dublin.
The building represents the highest commercial building in Ireland.
The structure is composite by two external Mega-Trusses connected to concrete cores by Mega-columns.
The two trusses supports 15 composite floors (steel-concrete).
The Scope of Work concerns:
- optimization and verification of Mega-Trusses nodes modelled by FEM;
- FEM modeling of the global geometry of the main structure for construction stages analysis
